Damn it !!! like and idiot I forgot to never put my oyster card and mobile phone in the same bloody pocket !!! Result is now one dead mobile phone !!!

On the plus side it might just be the battery or summat?-
nope bought a new battery and checked it plus tried sim card in other phone, definately dead phone

What's an oyster card? And how does it kill mobile phones?

Oyster card is method of payment for traveling on the transport systems buses,tubes,train and dlr etc. Its a system where you credit your card and then tocuh it to on the relevant card readers depending on what tranposrt method you are using, unfortunately the chip and technology of the card system has been cuasing business problems where if the oyster card is stored to bank card,building swipe cards etc it can cause the cards to malfunction (not sure but sometihng to do with the magnetic strips).
My mistake was forgetting i had my phone (dont use it much) in that same pocket when i went out, and i didnt realise it could damage my phone

I refuse to get an Oyster card. It may be cheaper, but I refuse to be blackmailed into getting one. It's a seemingly useless device, most train stations don't have Oyster barriers so you need a travel card anyway, according to you, they now break phones and they are pretty flimsy themselves.
All they are is tracking cards you have to pay for.... -
